The newsletter of Pax Christi Metro New
York
“Kerux” is the Greek word
meaning “herald”. As the name of our newsletter, it reminds us
that
we are to be heralds of God’s nonviolent love. We welcome
letters, articles and reviews.
In addition to our quarterly newsletter,
Kerux Live! offers
immediate access to current news and feature articles.
You may also wish to check out our online-only
current book
review.

Issue HIGHLIGHTS
An Anti-Racism Perspective on Open Wide Our Hearts, the November 2018 Bishops’ Pastoral Letter on Racism
As a member of Pax Christi USA’s Anti-Racism Team, author Mary Yelenick provides an informed critique of the second U.S. Bishops’ Pastoral on Racism and recommends books to read that she purports present a more courageous exploration of “the unvarnished story of racism and the Catholic Church.”
A Very Pax Christi Weekend
In mid-July, the Regional Leaders of Pax Christi USA met with each other and with the PCUSA staff and National Council to share experiences, priorities, and processes happening inside PCUSA national headquarters and across the country. This article offers a taste of what was discussed, learned, and celebrated.
